31 Bangladeshi nationals sent from Bengaluru to West Bengal for deportation

Thirty-one Bangladeshi nationals detained by 10 different police stations in Bengaluru were sent to Malda in West Bengal on Monday (August 31) as part of the process to deport them to Bangladesh.
The deportees were transported from Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT) Bengaluru to Malda Railway Station. They are being escorted by a team of 20 police personnel and are expected to reach Malda on Tuesday (September 1) at around 5 p.m.

M. Narayana, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Electronics City), Bengaluru City Police, said the drive against illegal immigrants would continue. “Today, 31 Bangladeshi nationals who were secured by 10 different police stations were sent from SMVT Bengaluru to Malda Railway Station in West Bengal for deportation. They are being escorted by 20 police personnel,” he said.
The police are continuing efforts to identify foreign nationals allegedly staying illegally in Bengaluru and initiate necessary legal and deportation proceedings.
