Government notifies interim fee structure for private medical, dental colleges

The State government on Saturday notified the interim fee structure for 2026-27 for super-speciality, postgraduate (PG) and undergraduate (UG) courses in private unaided medical and dental colleges, enhancing the existing fee by 15% for super-speciality and PG courses and by 10% for UG courses.

The interim fee structure was notified in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 7 of the A.P. Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Prohibition of Capitation Fee) Act, 1983. The fee structure will be subject to the final fixation and recommendations of the A.P. Higher Education Fee Regulatory and Monitoring Committee and the directions or outcome of writ petitions pending before the Andhra Pradesh High Court and the Supreme Court.

Separate Government Orders (RT Nos. 785, 786 and 787) were issued to this effect by G. Veerapandian, Secretary, Health, Medical and Family Welfare Department.

The annual fee for super-speciality courses at GSL Medical College, Katuri Medical College, Narayana Medical College, NRI Medical College and Pinnamaneni Siddhartha Institute of Medical Sciences has been fixed at ₹19,83,750, against the earlier fee of ₹17.25 lakh.

For PG medical courses, the fee under the A Category (competent authority quota) has been fixed at ₹5,71,320 for clinical degree courses, ₹1,78,538 for para-clinical degree and diploma courses and ₹80,937 for pre-clinical degree courses.

Under the B Category (management quota), the fee is ₹11,42,640 for clinical degree courses, ₹3,57,075 for para-clinical degree and diploma courses and ₹1,61,874 for pre-clinical degree courses.

Under the C Category (NRI/institutional quota), the fee is ₹66,12,500 for clinical degree courses, ₹19,83,750 for para-clinical degree and diploma courses and ₹10,58,000 for pre-clinical degree courses.

For PG dental courses, the fee under the A Category is ₹3,92,783 for clinical degree courses and ₹3,53,504 for para-clinical degree courses. Under the B Category, it is ₹7,85,565 and ₹5,74,759, respectively. Under the C Category, the fee is ₹15.87 lakh for clinical degree courses and ₹9,25,750 for para-clinical degree courses.

For UG courses, the fee under the A Category is ₹18,150 for MBBS and ₹15,730 for BDS. Under the B Category, the fee is ₹14,52,000 for MBBS and ₹4.84 lakh for BDS. Under the C Category, it is ₹43,56,000 for MBBS and ₹14,52,000 for BDS.
