Asian Games gold medallist Manpreet Kaur, farmer leader Nirmal Singh and 38 others from Punjab joined the BJP on Sunday, ahead of the state Assembly elections scheduled early next year, the party said.The new entrants include former members of the Aam Aadmi Party, Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal, along with people from the farming, trading, social work and business sectors. They are from Patiala, Mansa, Patran and Lehragaga.Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini welcomed them into the BJP and said the growing number of people joining the party reflected increasing faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's development agenda and the BJP's welfare policies.Join conversation
