Comprehensive News & Policy Report

BJP State president Nainar Nagenthran on Sunday criticised a reported circular, as per which the Tamil Nadu government issued an advisory for headmasters to bear the expenses to be incurred for the expansion of the breakfast scheme for school students.

In a social media post, he said while the expansion of the scheme was welcome, it was shocking that it had been planned without proper financial allocation. Referring to the circular, Mr. Nagenthran said it was mounting pressure on the headmasters.

“Teachers are there to impact education and guide students, not to share the government’s financial burden,” he added.
