CBSE Date Sheet 2027 Live Updates: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to announce the board exam schedule for the academic year 2026-27 soon on its official website, cbse.gov.in. The board will soon announce the exam timeline for Class 10 and 12 students set to appear for the 2027 board exams.

For the last examination cycle, the CBSE issued a tentative exam date sheet on September 24, 2025. Class 10 and 12 candidates can expect the following information in the CBSE tentative date sheet 2027: The board will also give an idea of the number of students expected to appear for the 2027 board examination.

Last year, announcing the tentative exam schedule for Class 10 and 12 board students, the CBSE stated that in 2026 approximately 45 lakh candidates were expected to appear in 204 subjects across 10th and 12th. With the release of the CBSE 10th and 12th timetable 2027, students can prepare structured study plans to enhance their performance.

Students can also formulate a revision strategy as per the exam schedule and gaps between the examinations. The CBSE date sheet will also help schools to align their academic and administrative activities, including deployment of teachers for examination and evaluation duties.

A tentative or early intimation of the exam date sheet will help board candidates to come up with a strategy well in advance and prepare for the exam accordingly. The CBSE Class 10 main board examination was held from February 17 to March 11, 2026, while the second board examination was conducted from May 15 to May 21, 2026.

In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Central Board of Secondary Education introduced the two board examination system last year, providing students a second opportunity to improve their scores. For Class 10 students, the programme covers Mathematics and Science, while class 12 students will receive academic support in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Economics.The sessions focus on subject-wise academic preparation, assessment strategies, examination techniques, time management and effective approaches to tackling board examinations, the officials said.

"Experienced teachers and resource persons from CBSE-affiliated schools across the country have been nominated to conduct the sessions," the board officials stated. The initiative aims to enhance students' academic preparedness, build confidence, and equip them with effective strategies to perform better in the Board examinations, the board said.

The Central Board of Secondary Education on Monday commenced a month-long in-person support programme for classes 10 and 12 students in government schools across ten locations in the union territory of Ladakh.The programme is being conducted at Leh, Nubra (two places), Shams, Zanskar, Kargil, Drass, Changthang, Sankoo and Chiktan, with a focus on strengthening students' subject understanding and preparing them for the board examinations.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the Primary Teachers (PRT) Tier 2 results for recruitment in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) on September 14. Meanwhile, students can expect the CBSE board final date sheet in the month of October-November 2026. Early access to the CBSE exam schedule will allow students across Science, Commerce, and Arts streams to structure their revision plans, focus on high-weightage topics, and manage stress effectively.
