Comprehensive News & Policy Report

Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan and his Cabinet colleagues will attend a special two-day training session, ‘Reimagining Keralam’ at the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) on September 4 and 5.

The residential workshop is aimed at enhancing governance and administrative efficiency. The programme also seeks to bring together Keralam’s political leadership, senior faculty members from IIMK, and distinguished international scholars to explore emerging opportunities and complex challenges confronting the State, according to the IIMK.

IIMK Director Debashis Chatterjee said the primary objective of the retreat is to create a shared space for strategic reflection to help the State’s leadership consider the larger forces shaping Keralam’s future. “The programme is built on the recognition that Keralam faces a convergence of profound challenges: an ageing population, the disruptions of artificial intelligence, climate vulnerability, shifting patterns of migration and remittances, and growing fiscal pressures,” he added.

The sessions will focus on media interaction protocols and press relations, practical applications, and utilisation of artificial intelligence, transformational leadership in the AI era, and the behavioural science of translating policy into lasting change on the ground. Participants will also cover climate resilience and community-based disaster preparedness.
