After their dog Bianca passed away, the couple turned their sadness into a nationwide fundraising campaign with North Shore Animal League America. Their efforts led to the creation of Bianca's Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center, a 14,000-square-foot facility on the second floor of the organisation's campus in Port Washington, New York.

Since becoming directly involved with North Shore Animal League America as a volunteer foster parent in 2013, Beth Stern has personally cared for and helped find homes for more than 2,000 rescued cats and kittens, according to official records published by the organisation.Building a state-of-the-art rescue hub Bianca's Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center opened after a major fundraising campaign led by the Stern family.

The centre was designed to give shelter cats a better place to live while waiting to be adopted. According to North Shore Animal League America, the 14,000-square-foot facility has open, cage-free rooms where cats can move around freely instead of being kept in traditional metal cages.

Large windows stretching from floor to ceiling let in natural sunlight. Special climbing walls, raised platforms, and small spaces for cats to hide and rest also help keep the animals active and comfortable. The new centre allowed North Shore Animal League America to double the number of cats it could rescue and care for on campus.

Moving the cats to the new upper-floor facility also freed up a large amount of space on the ground floor of the main building. This allowed the organisation to take in more rescued dogs and puppies. The facility also has a separate medical room, a surgery room, a nursery for nursing mothers, and special isolation rooms for animals recovering from infectious diseases or operations. From personal grief to hands-on fostering Along with fostering animals and helping develop the adoption centre, the Sterns use public events to raise money and awareness for shelters that do not put healthy or treatable animals down.

Beth Stern hosts major national animal welfare programmes, including the annual Kitten Bowl on the Great American Family channel. The event is organised in partnership with North Shore Animal League America and aims to encourage people across the country to adopt shelter animals.

The attention brought by Bianca's Furry Friends has also helped increase adoption efforts across the region. North Shore Animal League America, which is recognised as the world's largest no-kill rescue and adoption organisation, reports that it has saved more than 1.1 million animal lives since it was founded in 1944.

Howard Stern also regularly talks about the adoption centre's work on The Howard Stern Show on SiriusXM. He encourages listeners to consider adopting animals, volunteering at shelters, or becoming foster parents.Operational expansion and specialized care You use AI every day.
