The actress has been quite open about the bond they all shared and is also going to be awarded the inaugural Michele and Rob Reiner Champion for Change Award at the Children's Institute's Cape & Gown Gala in Los Angeles tomorrow.

She revealed that she continues to support them as they deal with everything one day at a time. She added, “Of course, I mean, we are family. Something like this brings people so much closer. “There hasn’t been a big public memorial yet, and so we’re all grieving,” she mentioned. The ‘Freaky Friday’ star also mentioned the inaugural award that she will receive tomorrow in Reiner’s name. She commented, “The whole thing is filled with such sadness and disbelief, and he loved them so much.

I want it to be joyful. I want it to be celebratory. I wanted to be honoring it. It’s not a memorial. It is moving forward together using their energy to inspire all of us.”Rob, Michele, and Curtis had been friends for years and were quite close.
