Rudhramurthy, 35, a resident of Arumbakkam village. He was married and had three children. Rudhramurthy and others were erecting a tent using steel poles for a temple festival when the incident happened. He was rushed to a government health centre at Kalavai where doctors said that he was brought dead.
A case was registered by Kalavai police and a probe is under way.
