The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra, has started the Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2026 Centralised Admission Process (CAP) Round 4 option entry for Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Technology (BTech) admissions.Candidates can now submit and confirm their preferred colleges and courses through the official MHT CET CAP website. The option entry window will remain open from August 30 to September 1, 2026.A total of 23,107 vacant seats are available for the fourth round of the counselling process.MHT CET CAP Round 4 important dates
According to the CAP Round 4 schedule, candidates have to complete their option entry and confirm their choices within the given deadline.The important dates are:Option entry: August 30 to September 1, 2026Provisional seat allotment result: September 3, 2026Acceptance of allotted seat: September 4 to 7, 2026Reporting to the allotted institute: September 4 to 7, 2026Admission confirmation: September 4 to 7, 2026
The provisional seat allotment result will be displayed on September 3.Candidates who are allotted a seat will then have to accept it through the login window between September 4 and 7.How to complete MHT CET CAP Round 4 option entry
Candidates can complete the option entry process by following these steps:Visit the official MHT CET CAP 2026 website.Click on the candidate login link.Enter the required login credentials.Open the CAP Round 4 option form.Select the preferred BE and BTech colleges and courses.Arrange the selected choices in the order of preference.Check all the choices carefully before submitting the form.Submit the option form and confirm the choices through the candidate login.Download or save a copy of the confirmed option form for future reference.
Candidates should carefully check their preferences before confirming the form, as the CAP Round 4 allotment will be based on their choices, merit and availability of seats.
Candidates who receive a seat in the fourth round will have to accept the offered seat through the designated login window between September 4 and 7.They will also have to report to the respective allotted institute and complete the admission process by submitting the required documents and paying the prescribed fee.The reporting and admission confirmation window will remain open during the same period.With more than 23,000 vacant seats available in CAP Round 4, candidates now have another opportunity to secure admission to BE and BTech programmes through the Maharashtra counselling process.
