India reaffirmed the three mutually‑agreed principles during the Modi‑Xi dialogue, emphasizing the need for peace along the disputed border. The Chinese foreign ministry’s readout also noted India’s reiteration of its positions on Taiwan and Tibet, and its refusal to host anti‑China activities.
India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi and China’s President Xi Jinping reiterated a commitment to mutual respect, interest and sensitivity during a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the 18th BRICS summit. Both sides also affirmed positions on Taiwan, Tibet and pledged to curb anti‑China activities on Indian soil.
