1,169 candidates set to win unopposed in Tripura village committee elections
The Tripura State Election Commission announced that 1,169 of the 4,597 village committee seats will be filled unopposed due to a lack of rival nominations. The uncontested seats, largely occupied by Tipra Motha candidates, come ahead of the September 28 elections.
