Not just the farmer, PSBs may soon fund entire farm value chains

As per a government proposal, public sector banks may soon need to shift from lending to individual farmers to funding entire value chains around key district products. The cluster-based lending plan will link farmers and FPOs with processors, storage and logistics businesses.
