L-G announces ₹15 lakh relief for Leh protest victims
The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Vinai Kumar Saxena, announced on September 13, 2026 a compensation package of ₹15 lakh for each family of the four civilians killed in the September 24, 2025 protests, along with ex‑gratia payments for injured victims. The move follows recent talks between the Centre and Ladakh civil‑society groups demanding relief for those affected by the unrest.
