Farmers in Sundaragiri, Karimnagar district blocked a main road on Friday to demand an uninterrupted power supply for their standing maize and other crops. After mandal officials promised to raise the issue with higher authorities, the protest was called off, while similar demonstrations occurred in Jagtial and Khammam districts.
