IIT Palakkad researchers develop sensors for faster heparin monitoring
IIT Palakkad scientists have created a fluorescent chemosensor that can rapidly quantify heparin levels in blood, offering a simpler alternative to traditional clotting‑time tests. The prototype, developed by Prof. Shanmugaraju Sankarasekaran and research scholar Noushija M.K., shows promise for low‑cost point‑of‑care monitoring of anticoagulant therapy.
