Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray dismissed the fresh CBI FIR linking him to Disha Salian's 2020 death as a politically motivated smear campaign.

Aaditya Thackeray said he never met model Disha Salian after a fresh CBI probe was launched into her death. His remarks marked his first public comment on the investigation.
She has handled several major CBI investigations, including the Hathras and Unnao cases and the RG Kar rape-murder probe. She was also awarded the best investigating officer gold medal in 2021.

Rabia Khan, mother of late actress Jiah Khan, warned that evidence may have been destroyed in the Disha Salian case after actor Sooraj Pancholi’s name appeared in the FIR, echoing concerns from her own daughter’s investigation. She urged authorities to preserve all forensic material to ensure a truthful inquiry.
In his statement, Satish Salian alleged that several people, including former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, his son and Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray, were involved in an alleged conspiracy and subsequent cover-up surrounding his daughter’s death.
