Cabinet clears ₹10,783 crore rail expansion as key corridors near capacity
The Union Cabinet approved a ₹10,783 crore investment to add multi‑track lines on three railway corridors covering 655 km, aiming to boost freight capacity. The projects are expected to add 26.69 million tonnes per annum of freight, create jobs and reduce emissions.
