Fire NOC, building plan: Checklist part of MCD crackdown after Satya Niketan crash
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has launched a citywide inspection of paying‑guest (PG) accommodations to verify fire safety, building plan sanctions and structural compliance after the Satya Niketan collapse that killed seven people. By September 10 the survey had covered about 1,350 buildings, identifying several unsafe structures and prompting disciplinary action against senior officials.
