Following a complaint from a consumer to Health Minister U.T. Khader, food safety inspectors from the Food Safety and Drug Administration Department conducted an inspection at a Blinkit stock and supply unit in Falnir Square, Hampanakatta, Mangaluru.
Mr. Khader said, “I received a complaint from a consumer about eggs containing germs. The consumer had also shared a receipt from Blinkit, and the order had been placed on September 1, 2026. I directed department officials to inspect the unit. Several broken and spoiled eggs were found during the inspection.”
He added, “A warning has been issued to the unit manager, and all the eggs were destroyed after a complete inspection.”
