Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) officially opened a state‑of‑the‑art e‑studio on its Tirupati campus, an event led by Vice‑Chancellor Prof. Tata Narasinga Rao and attended by Registrar Prof. M. Bhupathi Naidu along with RUSA coordinators. The launch marks the university’s latest effort to expand its digital education infrastructure.
The e‑studio, sanctioned under the Rashtriya Uchchatar Siksha Abhiyan (RUSA) programme, houses a virtual production suite, an AR‑VR studio, a podcast studio equipped with high‑bandwidth video‑conferencing, lecture‑capture systems and acoustic treatment designed for live streaming of engineering lectures. It will support the recording of NPTEL courses, online diploma programmes and web‑based structural lectures. During the same visit, Prof. Rao toured the Centre of Excellence in Bioenergy Innovations, where a newly installed BET Surface Area Analyzer was demonstrated, and the university announced ISO 21001:2018, ISO 50001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications from HYM International Certifications, a gender‑sensitisation audit certificate, and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation for its virology laboratories from Global Accreditation Services.
The initiative aligns with RUSA’s goal of modernising higher‑education facilities across India, aiming to broaden access to quality digital learning for students, faculty and industry experts. The suite of certifications underscores SVU’s commitment to educational excellence, energy efficiency, environmental stewardship and gender‑sensitive campus facilities, positioning the university as a regional hub for advanced teaching and research.
