K.N. Nataraj, a Panchayat Development Officer, reported to the Kote police that an unidentified person broke the lock and entered their house in the afternoon when no one was home. The intruder stole gold ornaments, cash, and wristwatches. Mr. Nataraj’s wife is also a government employee. The crime was discovered only when their daughter returned home in the evening.
Footage captured by CCTV cameras installed at the house shows a person breaking the lock, entering the premises, and leaving with a bag. The Kote police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
