SynopsisThe Vietnamese government aims to develop at least 50,000 semiconductor professionals by 2030, including at least 35,000 workers for production, packaging, testing and other segments of the industry's value chain.
IANSFPT, Vietnam's leading technology conglomerate, said it has begun construction of a training complex focused on semiconductors, cybersecurity and unmanned aerial vehicles in the northern province of Dien Bien.
* The 10.5-hectare (26-acre) facility will provide education and training for students of high-school age through to postgraduate levels, FPT said in a statement.
* FPT did not disclose the project's cost or the number of people it expects to train.
