Vijay met Ajith at the Michelin Le Mans Cup at the Silverstone circuit. Ajith, who recently reignited his passion for racing, was set to participate in the race. Vijay, on his international trip as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, was at the venue to flag off the race.

Ajith and Vijay greeted their excited fans before sharing a warm embrace. We have been colleagues in the film industry for 34 years, and I am happy for him that he’s now the Chief Minister-elect.” Ajith, who entered the race after finishing eighth in the qualification round, asked fans to avoid creating chaos at the venue.

He thanked the fans for the support but cautioned them to stay disciplined. Several fans from across India witnessed the qualification round and cheered for Ajith, even as the commentator described the actor as the “Silver Head Tom Cruise”.
