Licences, registration, listing on a public portal: Government plans steps to regulate PGs
The Delhi government has drafted a Bill to mandate licences, registration and a public portal for all paying‑guest accommodations, following a fatal hostel collapse. The proposal, discussed by Lt Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu, CM Rekha Gupta and officials, outlines safety, security and grievance mechanisms to be finalized within two months.
